Announcing Glide's Product Roadmap & Timeline!

July 14, 2026

Kyle Buzzard here 👋, one of Glidance’s cofounders and Head of Product. Many of you have probably heard us talk about Glide’s “Alpha” and “Beta “ prototypes, and our plan to begin shipping the first production units in September 2025.

In this brief post, I wanted take a moment to share our updated Product Roadmap, which highlights many of those major milestones (and more), as well as introduce some of the incredible team members committed to building Glide as a durable, reliable, and category-defining product that we believe you will love.

Let’s dive in!

For a little context on me, Kyle, my background is in Industrial Design. Throughout the first 12 years of my career I had the privilege of consulting with incredible companies like Google, Logitech, Merck, and many more to help launch some amazing consumer and medical products. I became an entrepreneur in 2018 when I co-founded Prota Ventures to help bring new impactful ideas to market, and have spent the last 6 years co-founding and building multiple startups including Bird Buddy, Stix Golf and SUPLMNT (pronounced Supplement), which have shipped hundreds of thousands of consumer and IoT products all over the world. Now alongside Amos, Luke and the rest of the Glidance team, it is my great privilege to help take Glide from a concept into reality.

Speaking of our team, we’ve had some incredibly talented, experienced and passionate designers, engineers and developers join our team this year, a few of which I’d like to highlight.

Chris Gindel, Head of Engineering, had a 17-year career at Bose, leading the development of countless products including the Bose Frames where he collaborated with Amos and Microsoft on Soundscape. He has also worked at multiple robotics companies, where he built expertise in mobile sensors and guidance systems. Chris is actively building a world-class software and electrical engineering team and leading these engineering efforts throughout the process.

Nick Koukourakis, Project Director, had a two-decade career with Maytag and Whirlpool spanning mechanical engineering, product development, sales and product line management before shifting his focus to start-ups and eventually joining Glidance to help direct the product development process and manage our manufacturing, supply chain and logistics partners.

Our team also includes folks like Lorien, a product manager who spent 8 years building connected hardware products at Amazon; Bryant, a robotics software engineer with 10 years at Bear Robotics and Neato specializing in autonomous mobile robotics; Maja, a talented computer vision and data engineer from Slovenia; Josiah, a robotics hardware engineer with a masters degree from MIT; Simon, an experienced mechanical engineer based in Europe; and last but not least, Jean-Baptiste, a senior software technical lead with 12 years experience in computer vision and autonomous mobile robotics, just to name a few. We are incredibly proud of our team and will continue to highlight individuals in future newsletters moving forward.

All these folks and many more are working hard on our current product roadmap and timeline, which lays out both where we’ve been as well as what is yet to come, as we continue validating the product, design, software, and our proprietary AI-powered Glidance Sensible Wayfinding through multiple iterations of prototypes and pre-production units.

We’ve also highlighted the user testing initiatives and touchpoints along the way, reiterating our commitment to engage with our community for feedback and user testing at each step.

We hope it is helpful to see where we’ve come from and what we have left to do. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. We are always here to engage and learn what we can be doing better!
